HCRI ScholarshipsHCRI scholarships are designed to make effective stuttering therapy affordable to individuals who are experiencing financial hardship. Funding is made possible through the generosity of past program participants who want to give the gift of fluency to others because HCRI's therapy program has made such a remarkable difference in their lives.
Financial aid is awarded according to each person´s individual financial circumstances. Awards will be determined based on household income, number of dependents, and other financial circumstances.
Please note that there are limited funds available for scholarships. Therefore, we request that you make every effort to obtain funds from other sources prior to requesting aid from HCRI. State Vocational Rehabilitation agencies can be an excellent source for funding consideration. We are unable to provide financial assistance to individuals who qualify for aid from other sources such as vocational rehabilitation agencies, insurance companies or employee benefit programs. We may request written proof that assistance was sought from, but denied by, other funding sources prior to our granting financial aid.
How to Request a ScholarshipTo apply for a scholarship, you must first submit an application to attend one of HCRI's 17 annual stuttering therapy programs.
Once you submit your therapy program application, we will contact you about your participation. At that time, you may request scholarship information and we will forward a scholarship application to you.
Complete and return the scholarship application to HCRI. We will review your information and advise you of your qualification for an award.
