LuAnn Brown-Yates has been a practicing speech language pathologist for almost 20 years. For the past 16 years she has specialized in the treatment of stuttering in adolescents and adults at the Hollins Communications Research Institute.
Ms. Yates received her early training as an undergraduate at California University of Pennsylvania. In 1984 she was awarded her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from the same college.
She has worked with hundreds of individuals who stutter from all 50 of the United States and 23 foreign countries.
Ms. Yates was among the initial cadre awarded the Certificate of Specialty Recogniation in Fluency Disorders by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
LuAnn Brown-Yates is licensed in Virginia and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology.
